B.Sc. in Orthopaedic Technology is a 3 year undergraduate degree that teaches students about the technical and clinical elements of orthopaedics. The course includes anatomy, biomechanics, orthopaedic procedures, and the use of orthopaedic devices such as prosthesis, braces, and surgical instruments. Students learn how to assist orthopedic surgeons during treatments, operate orthopaedic equipment, and offer patient care during rehabilitation. Eligibility normally requires a 10+2 (science stream) including physics, chemistry, and biology as key courses. Graduates can work as orthopaedic technologists, surgical assistants, or rehabilitation experts at hospitals, clinics, or orthopaedic centers, or continue their education in allied health sciences or orthopaedics.
