Vice Chancellor Message

• Prof. (Dr.) Pawan Kumar Poddar, the 6th Vice Chancellor of this university, assumed the charge of the Vice Chancellor on 20th October, 2023. He has an extensive administrative experience as Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University and Nilamber-Pitamber University,Palamau and  as Dean Students’ welfare and Dean Faculty of commerce at Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University.

• He has also served as Director of the Directorate of Professional courses of University, which consists of 21 different types of Professional programme of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University. In addition to this he also acted as a member of various statutory committee and inquiry committee.

• He is an academician par excellence and has also been associated with different university across the country as an examiner, subject expert etc. He has Chaired several National level seminar and participated in more than 25 National and International conferences, seminar & workshop etc. He has also published more than 50 articles in various national and international peer reviewed journal.

• He had produced around 23 PhD and currently he is guiding around 8 research scholars. He has authored 5 books. He has also keen interest in sports activities. He was a national level player of Table Tennis and Malkhamb. He had officiated as a Manager, Muay Thai federation of India team in world championship held at Bangkok. He has also acted as a running commentator of AIR in National Sports. In recognition of his contribution towards university sports as a player, coach, referee and administrator he was nominated as member of the AIU sports Board.

• In recognition of his services towards society he was conferred upon Lion’s International President Award, in addition to several appreciation awards. He has chaired as regional Chairperson of Lion’s Club International Dis 322E.He is associated with a number of social organization and NGOs as well as sports association at District, State and National level in different capacity.
