Students who have earned a relevant engineering diploma or an equivalent qualification can enroll in a 2-year program called the Diploma in Electrical Engineering through Lateral Entry. Students who complete this course can start the second year of the regular diploma program right away. Electrical circuits, power systems, control systems, electronics, electrical machines, and renewable energy are among the fundamental ideas of electrical engineering that are the emphasis of the program. Through laboratory work, industry projects, and hands-on instruction, students acquire practical experience. Graduates are prepared for technical positions in manufacturing, telecommunications, electricity, and automation, as well as in electrical repair, system design, and energy management.
