Students who have earned a relevant diploma in engineering or a related subject are eligible to enroll in the 3-year B.Tech. program in mechanical engineering through lateral entry. Students who complete this program can start the second year of the regular B.Tech program right away. Key topics in mechanical engineering are covered throughout the course, such as fluid mechanics, manufacturing processes, materials science, robotics, thermodynamics, and machine mechanics. Through projects, industry training, and laboratory work, students acquire real-world experience. Graduates are prepared for jobs in design and production positions in sectors like automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, energy, and automation.
