The study of poisons, antidotes, and the management of toxic substances in accordance with Ayurvedic principles are the main topics of a Ph.D. program in Agada Tantra (Toxicology in Ayurveda). The program, which usually lasts 3-5 years, encompasses Ayurvedic formulations and detoxification therapies in addition to the detection, treatment, and prevention of poisoning. The traditional knowledge of mineral and herbal treatments utilized in toxicology is also explored by the students. Graduates can work as researchers, educators, or Ayurvedic toxicologists, helping to create comprehensive strategies for safety and poison control in both conventional and contemporary medical settings.
